When the next King of country music offers to take you under his wing, what's a girl to do?
Pinch herself, of course. Repeatedly. Then take the offer!
Quinn Winters is tired of being the actress known for most killed off characters. After discovering her love of music when her last role portrayed a country singer on a daytime soap opera, she's making a much needed change in life. Quinn is unprepared for the demands and expectations needed to succeed in Music City. One pleading call from her sister puts her in an all too familiar, but unwanted position.
Five years ago, Tucker McGinnis auditioned for a reality singing show, never expecting to win. His sudden fame and popularity comes as a major surprise. After a multi platinum debut, his second album is suffering the dreaded sophomore jinx. His musical muse becomes elusive when guilt plagues him over an accident which affects his family. He is blown away by Quinn when he overhears her audition at his record label, singing his most personal song.
An attraction builds, and a connection through music is formed. But when life gets in the way, Tucker makes another offer - A temporary marriage which will benefit both of them, until things become too real.
Two souls destined for the stage, two hearts blending together to create beautiful music as individuals, but even better as country music's next power couple- if they can shed the images of who they used to be.

For now, I'll have to live that life through my characters and stick it out with the summer heat.
Damn, she had so much to learn. Well, today she'd learn how to cook and hopefully impress her husband with a well cooked dinner, then give him an answer. The answer he wanted, too, because Quinn definitely had an interest in creating something real. Two hours later, Quinn wished she'd picked something simple like spaghetti, instead of trying to go for a big fancy meal. She'd seen a recipe for a gourmet salmon meal, thinking it seemed easy enough. The house reeked of the blackened mess of what was supposed to be perfect dinner. Perfectly ruined, that is. Tucker picked that moment to walk in the house. As Quinn cried alongside a very agitated Piper, he stepped in the kitchen with a bewildered look on his face. His gaze traveled to Quinn, then to the kitchen, and back to Quinn. She held up her hands in defeat from her spot on the floor. “So, I learned today that I can't cook worth a fig, either. I guess I can't impress you with those skills.” Tucker stared at her a minute longer, then walked away. He's mad. This didn't help. But he returned seconds later with a much calmer Piper. Then he flopped on the floor beside Quinn. “Hey. Tell your auntie she's the sweetest thing ever. Give her love,” he said in a soothing voice. “Tell her she doesn't have to go all out to impress me, because she already does. Will you tell her that for me, Piper?” Quinn almost snorted as she laughed through her tears. “That's a lot of expectations on an eight month old.” “You know, you might be right.” He bounced Piper on his knee. “Then I'll tell you. Your cooking skills, or lack thereof, isn't why I married you.” Quinn snorted this time. “You did not just say that!” She clutched her abdomen. “I did. But on a serious note, I'm sorry your attempt at cooking didn't turn out so well.” He wrinkled his nose. “I- I wanted to do something for you.” Stupid tears formed in her eyes. Ugh! She'd cried enough over this today! Tucker leaned closer, switching positions with Piper. “You do something for me every day. You fill up this house with feeling.” His eyes were on her now, so kind, loving, gentle, and adoring. “I thought you were mad, and I've gone all day not knowing,” she whispered, letting her complete vulnerability show.
